Authentic antique from the famous French series of pantins (jumping jacks) a kind of a combo puppet/paper doll/paper toy. This series ran in the mid to late 1800s and into the early 1900s.


Here's a very rare large sheet paper doll, printed in Germany in 1894 or 1895, over 110 years old! It's 17" x 13.25". Hand stencil painted in rich colors. There are five separate dolls; 4 women, and a girl. There are 8 dresses, a purse, 8 hats, a fan, umbrella, and school folio.
